Republicans aren’t really stingy, racist, etc.
The common stereotype for Republicans is that they are rich, white, racist, and selfish. Okay, they are mostly white, but that is by choice of all the non-white individuals who choose not to join the party. There is no entrance requirement to become a Republican. You don’t have to be white, rich, or even a Christian. You can even be gay…witness the Log Cabin Republicans. Nobody is turned away from the party; if Republicans are mostly white, it’s because most people who are not white are too busy sucking up to the party that takes them for granted.
So how rich are Republicans? The mean income of Republicans is typically somewhat higher than Democrats, but both are in six figures. If you look at the map here, it’s easy to see the most of the states with the highest incomes voted for Obama:

Then there’s Congress, where Democrats have more money too:

What about those “selfish” Republicans? Republicans typically give a higher percentage of their incomes to charity than Democrats. In addition, when taxes go down, Republican charitable giving goes up. An easy example can be taken from the recent election.
Obama: 5.7% of income (on almost $4.4 million)
Biden: 0.06 to 0.31% of income
McCain: 25% of income (on a little more than $400k)
Palin: Not released yet, but you can guess it’s higher then 0.06% yes?
Cheney: More than 75% of income went to charity!
Yeah, we really elected the guys who care, didn’t we?
Racism? How can you argue that one? That’s really the point, isn’t it? If you yell “racist” every time you don’t get or hear what you want, nobody can argue intelligently. People have to spend all their time denying they’re racist. And that’s the idea. Odd, however, that Democrats want everyone divided up by race, color, creed, etc. on every form you fill out for the government. They’re also the ones who promised that Social Security numbers would never be used for identification, but that’s another story.
So, to sum up, don’t believe what you hear about Republicans. If you ARE a Republican, don’t buy into it and never defend yourself against these charges of stinginess, racism, etc. All you’re doing is lending credibility to nonsense.
Next lesson: Who Republicans really are.
You forgot easily swayed to voting against your own better interests by single issues like god, guns, and gays. You also forgot the myth of fiscal responsibility, and neglected to mention the upturn in hate crimes committed by registered members of your party since Nov. 4th.
As far as stingy goes, why don’t you take a look outside of Washington and into a person to person basis. or release Cindy McCain’s charitable donations. You remember Cindy, don’t you…she’s John McCain’s sugar momma…the multi-million dollar heiress of a mob shill that owns all the houses Johhny Mac lives in, as well as all the cars they drive, and the reason he can donate to charity. You might say he’s the recepiant of charity himself, having lived off the government since he was 17, and walking around comfortably in the $500 shoes his wifey bought for him.
What you see above is a typical liberal argument. Note the personal attacks and name-calling, backed up by no factual evidence. He even considers being a career public servant as charity. I’ll bet you didn’t know that being in the military was considered “living off the government.” Also note the jealousy in the $500 shoes reference.
One has to wonder if this liberal was equally upset by John “I served in Vietnam” Kerry’s living off his wife’s fortune, or if he ever questioned the price of Mr. Obama’s shoes.
By the way, sir, Cindy McCain spent years in poor countries working in place like Rwanda for Doctors Without Borders. A simple Google search would tell you that.
I’m a threedegrees fan… but I have to I say people need to be themselves and if you’re honestly trying to be a good person that counts.

Will a simple google search disclose what she’s donated to charitable organizations? Or the percentage of her income?
I could care less if John McCain walks around in $500 loafers or seven year old Keds. As far as “name calling” goes, I was being very, very kind. The words “sugar momma”, “mob shill”, and “heiress” are completely accurate. Having spent four years in the military myself, I can honestly say that yes, having 90% of your expenses paid for by the government is indeed living off the government. However, the shrapnel that is still in my leg, and my inability to walk as a result of the IED that destroyed it is not being properly cared for by the country I served. The V.A. just wants to give me Oxycontin and send me on my way as the surgery that could fix me may also sever my femoral artery. Spend 18 months in Afghanistan and two and a half years in Iraq and tell me about a typical liberal argument.
Again, you say your names are “accurate” yet you provide zero evidence. So yes, that is a typical liberal argument..regardless of where you say you spent your time, which by the way I don’t buy. If you spent four years in the military, there’s no way you spent two and a half years in Iraq and 18 months in Afghanistan. You would have spent at LEAST four months in basic and AIT. Your timeline only works for someone who actually wasn’t in the military, which I was. Not to mention the fact that anyone who spent real time in the military knows that the government pays so much of your expenses because they don’t pay you much at all otherwise…so we NEVER considered it “living off the government.” We earned every penny, every benefit, and a whole lot beyond that we never got.
Don’t bother with any more comments, as I will delete them. One, I’m not going to turn this into your personal soapbox, and two, I firmly believe you are not telling the truth.
Getting caught up in partys is the prime reason that individuals do not usually focus on the core issues. I’m a Democrat, had John McCain offered a better plan or a plan at all that would have out shined Obama’s or had an affect on myself and my family in anyway, I would have probably crossed over. Unfortunately he didn’t. The issues are important to some of us. As for loafers and houses, the way I see it “that’s what you work for or Marry for” at any rate that ’s their business. And by the way, before we praise Cindy McCain too much, let’s not forget that she stole and got addicted to the very medications that she was over in foriegn countries donating. We all have our pro’s and con’s both Democrats and Republicans, however we shouldn’t get so caught up in shallow distractions that we can’t stand to reason.
—-csc5502 says: A true liberal. Obama’s plan is to turn us into Cuba North, but since McCain’s didn’t have the proper “affect” you only care about what YOU get. NO issues are actually important to you, because ISSUES affect everyone, not just you. As long as you get what you want, you vote for whoever is going to take stuff from people who actually earned it and give it to you. The real “addict” here is you. Addicted to selfishness and government handouts like all liberals, you only vote for the guy with the biggest bag of candy…perpetually reliving Halloween at taxpayer expense.
