Hamas fires hundreds of rockets into Israel, cries for revenge when Israel shoots back…

Published by csc5502 at 2:34 pm under Current Events, Politics Edit This

Boo hoo.

Gaza Strike

For years Hamas, Hezbollah, and the massive hodgepodge of “I hate Israel, America, Britain, and any other country that has running water, lights, and lets women show more than their eyes” groups have cried about Israel occupying Gaza.  That in and of itself was a joke.

Gaza was originally occupied during the 1967 war when it was used as a jumping off point to attack Israel.  Like the Golan Heights, Israel took these territories to provide a buffer between Israel and her enemies.  Israel unilaterally pulled out of Gaza, even displacing her own citizens from their homes to do so.  They gave the Palestinians full autonomy, even allowing Egypt to control the strategic Philadelphi Route, which Israel had legal right to.

What was the result?  Hamas took over the territory and immediately began using it to launch attacks against Israel.  The Egyptians claim to secure the Philadelphi Route, yet the materials to build and launch hundreds of rockets somehow find their way into Gaza….while human rights groups decry the lack of basic medical supplies and food in the territory.  If you can smuggle in rocket propellant and warhead materals, couldn’t you also smuggle in drugs and food for your “poor, victimized, innocent” people?

There was a ceasefire, which Hamas broke.  Hamas has fired hundreds of rockets into Israel since then, most launched from points in residential neighborhoods.

Finally Israel got sick of it and struck back hard.  The reaction was predictable.

The same people who said little or nothing when Hamas broke the ceasefire and fired rockets into civilian areas are now screaming about Israel’s “war crimes” for striking military targets that happen to have civilians near them.  They don’t criticize Hamas for launching rockets from civilian neighborhoods; they criticize Israel for attacking the launch sites.  They don’t blame Hamas for building 40+ tunnels to smuggle military supplies through; they blame Israel for bombing the tunnels.

The funniest one yet is condemning Israel for “disproportionate use of force” by bombing Hamas targets.  Fighting back too hard?!  If you walked up to the average liberal who curses Israel’s “overreaction” on a daily basis and punched him in the face, do you think he would accept it if you insisted that he only be allowed to hit you back the exact number of times you hit him?  With the exact same amount of force?  If he hauled off and flattened you, would he feel sorry for you if you cried “disproportionate force?!”

You poke the bear, then cry when the bear mauls you?  And everyone else backs you up for your stupidity?

It reminds me of an encounter with my son’s elementary school principal.  A bully had been punching, pinching, shoving, tripping, etc. my son for the better part of a week.  Finally the boy jumped on my son’s back and forced him face down on the asphalt, bloodying my son’s lips.  At this point my son rolled the boy off and cleaned his clock.  The bully was suddenly a “victim” of my son’s “overreaction.”  My son was in trouble for “continuing a circle of violence” and because he “fought back too hard.”

I asked the principal how he’d react if I came over his desk and started beating him.  Would he only call the police?  Would he only fight back a certain amount so his force was “proportionate” to mine?  His reply was classic liberal.  He said “well that’s different.”  In other words, the standard applies to whoever a liberal says it applies, but not to anyone he doesn’t want it to.  Sort of like the way they interpret the Constitution…..

That’s how it always is with liberals.  Chop off someone’s head, nothing.  Take some naked pictures of prisoners who are otherwise unharmed, it’s a war crime.  Blow up a bus full of schoolchildren, nothing.  Demolish the house of the bomber, it’s a crime against humanity.  Launch a hundred rockets into Israel, deliberately targeting civilians, nothing.  Bomb the launch sites of the rockets, it’s “disproportionate force.”

If you are an enemy of Western civilization, America, English-speaking people, Christians, etc. then anything you do is a result of something your victim did.

If you, the victim, retaliate…..”well that’s different.”

Wow! your reductionist reasoning make it so clear about all the right and wrong in the World. Tell me more, Oh Wise One. Can you tell me about the 1000s of years before Israel became a nation, because I don’t want to read all that history. Just tell me your side. It’s probably right. I think that you are a hero for threatening a pinko public school administrator. He deserved it. I’m gonna send my kid to a charter school where all the adminstrators are libertarians, or better yet men of God and conservative. I hope someday we can all live in a society in which thugs that carry around knifes that threaten people are shot down in public by AK 47 wielding SWAT teams of thirty. I’d say that is fair response to such craven street crime. I mean Juliani did that. He is a hero.

And if those damn liberals hadn’t messed up our President’s war in Iraq by coddling those darn Jihadists, why we’d have killed off a few million Iraqi’s and the place would be all wrapped up for freedom and economic might. Oh, and those darn liberals screwed up the economy too. And to think how stupid the public is that they just elected them to control our country. Can’t they see what is going on? After the inauguration, I here they are going to let everyone Palestinian from the Gaza move to Nebraska since the state kinda resembles Palestine. That is terrible. to look into Cornhusker nation and see a bunch of terrorists.

–csc5502 says: Wow such cogent rambling surely stands well enough on its own, but I must point out several things. One, I do know the history, and it goes back a lot farther than 1000 years. You lose that argument too, but who cares? By that logic you have to undo EVERY nation on Earth. Two, it’s “knives” not “knifes” and if I was trying to stab you and you had a gun, would you not consider it fair to shoot me? Three, I never threatened anybody. I realize that reading and analysis are secondary skills for liberals, but still you should at least try. And four, if we let the Palestinians come to Nebraska we would be the FIRST nation to let them in. Oh, you didn’t know that either? Look it up. All their “friends” in the Arab countries that yell about Israel refused the Palestinians entry or settlement in their countries. Look at Gaza. Hamas blames Israel for walling them in, yet Egypt is doing the same thing on THEIR side of Gaza too. Oops. Facts to a liberal = poison to a rat.

    Dear Miguel,
I guess this guy’s incendiary rhetoric has the desired effect of luring a couple of people who would fall for this type of mentality.
It’s divisive and much akin to sitting in a tunnel.
You don’t even need to get past the second paragraph to realize that this guy has a populist understanding of the history there (but I guess it’s difficult to get an objective and factual perspective of things over there when living in a decidedly pro-Israeli country).
When referring to Israel’s so-called ‘unilateral’ withdraw from Gaza in September of 2005, he states: ‘They gave the Palestinians full autonomy.’
Now unless the author of this blog infers autonomy to mean complete Israeli control of Gaza airspace, complete Israeli control of Gaza territorial waters, substantial control of Gaza’a land crossing, control of the Palestinian population registry, control of tax policy and tax revenues, control of the ability of the Palestinian Authority to exercise governmental functions, and control of the West Bank, which together constitute a single territorial unit…then yes Gaza is fully autonomous. But I suspect the author of this blog is intelligent enough to know that ‘full autonomy’ does not imply these facts that exist regarding Israel’s control of Gaza. What I suspect to be the case is plain ignorance-not a confusion of the term ‘full autonomy.’
Ignorance is forgivable. There’s always someone smarter than you. Miguel, if you’d like to know the specifics of these facts I’ve stated and how they’ve occurred, read: ‘Disengsaged Occupiers: The Legal Status of Gaza’.
And Miguel, please disregard this blogger’s rhetoric of divisiveness. He refers to liberals and republicans and schoolyard analogies to justify his position. This terminology is easy to employ because it assists in the ‘us’ vs ‘them’ mentality of jingoist thinkers. Ignore it. It doesn’t breed rationality but barbarism. Stay focused Miguel. Seek the facts. Push for peace.
And don’t worry about spelling ‘knives’ incorrectly. It’s easier to correct spelling…a lot easier than correcting ignorance at least.

–csc5502 says: Wow, that sure is a lot of “ignoring” you just did. All that propaganda just to “ignore” me. I notice you say “[p]ush for peace.” Is that push for peace, or push for Israel to give terrorists everything they want, and stop fighting back? I bet it’s the latter. I also notice you don’t care about spelling. It’s typical of liberals (oh gosh, that name again) to make excuses for their failings; after all, their “cause is just” so it doesn’t matter what they do otherwise. In addition, while you speak of correcting ignorance, you haven’t corrected your own. You say I refer to “liberals and republicans;” I actually refer to liberals and conservatives on the whole, and I actually don’t use the word “republican” or “conservative” anywhere in the post. Republicans and Conservatives (big “C” for a reason) are not necessarily the same thing. Witness John McCain.

Oh, and one other minor point. I don’t have to “justify” my position; it’s the right one.

scottvoloshin has decided to act like a child and spam me with idiotic scribbles.

    Shameful.

I guess he either didn’t read the blog rules or just doesn’t care. Either way, deleted and banned.

    Fail.

–csc5502 says: Oops. Little scotty can’t read. First he couldn’t read rules, then he couldn’t follow them. Then he couldn’t read that he was banned. Like all liberals, he can’t stand the idea of rules, and he can’t stand that there are consequences for breaking them.

Open your mind to that truth.

    Fail again.
